Pilsner Malt 2.3 kg
Carapils 200 g

Hops

Hallertau Mittelfrüh 24 g 4% 60 mins
Hallertau Mittelfrüh 15 g 5 mins

Yeast

Fermentis Safale WB-06 (hefeweizen) 

or US-05 (American wheat)

Method

Treat mash water with 20ml AMS

Mash at 66-68°C for 40 mins in 23L Water

Sparge with 9 L water

Boil for 60 mins

Carbonate as desired.

Here’s a nice simple, classic hefeweizen recipe.

Use WB-06 for a more traditional, German flavour, with hints of bananas and spice, or go with the US-05 for an American style, clean, clear wheat beer.
