Pumpkin (baked or puréed) * | 2.5-3.5 kg |
Hops
Simcoe | 16 g | 60 min | |
Willamette | 25 g | 15 min | |
Spices (below) ** | 10 mins |
Yeast
Fermentis Safale S-04 English Ale
Method (see reverse for details)
Treat mash water with 20ml AMS
Mash at 66°C for 40 mins in 23L Water
Sparge with 9.5 L water
Boil for 60 mins
Carbonate as desired.
Note
* To make this recipe you will also need to 2.5 – 3.5 kg of pumpkin, e.g. 6 to 8 tins of Baking Buddy Natural Pumpkin Puree from Tesco.
** For a spiced version, you will also need to add 1 cinnamon stick, 1 vanilla pod (or 50ml vanilla extract), and 1 teaspoon of ground ginger.
