LA Beer

This recipe has no base malt in it – it is essentially only specialty malts (apart from the tiny bit of wheat malt).

This has the the effect of there not being much fermentable sugar available for the yeast, thus giving us Low Alcohol (LA) Beer.

It does though have plenty of malt and hops, giving it a solid flavour profile that belies it’s low alcohol strength.

If you’re looking to brew something that you can drink and then drive home after, or if you’re trying to cut down on your booze intake, this is the the brew for you.
