Brew Club Hazy Pale


Here’s a nice homage to the East Coast IPAs that are so popular right now.

It’s hazy and fruity, due to the oats and wheat malt and the Simcoe and El Dorado hops.

The use of S-04 gives it even more fruity esters. If you want to make it a bit dryer, use US-05.




Grain Bill

Extra Pale Malt 2.7 kg
Pilsner Malt 1.8 kg
Flaked Oats 500 g
Wheat Malt 400 g


Columbus 5 g 16.1% 60 mins
El Dorado 20 g 5 mins
Simcoe 10 g 5 mins
El Dorado 50 g 0 mins
Simcoe 20 g 0 mins
El Dorado 55 g Dry Hop
Simcoe 55 g Dry Hop


Fermentis Safale S-04 English Ale


Treat mash water with 20ml AMS

Mash at 67°C for 40 mins in 23L Water

Sparge with 9.5 L water

Boil for 60 mins

Carbonate as desired.
